OPIPZA contains aripiprazole, an atypical antipsychotic drug. Aripiprazole is 7-[4-[4-(2,3-dichlorophenyl)-1-piperazinyl]butoxy]-3,4-dihydrocarbostyril. Aripiprazole has a pKa of 6.2. It is freely soluble in dichloromethane, sparingly soluble in toluene, and insoluble in methanol and water. The empirical formula is C23H27Cl2N3O2 with a molecular weight of 448.38.
